Nestled graciously along the Dubai Creek waterfront and adjacent to the venerable Al Fahidi district, an enclave of historical significance, the masterplan of Marsa Al Seef takes centre stage. Its aim? To reinvigorate the Creek waterfront, transforming it into a timeless civic sanctuary that pays homage to the rich tapestry of Emirati culture.
Encompassing a vast expanse of approximately nine hectares, Marsa Al Seef emerged as a cultural city quarter that seamlessly integrates with the city's urban fabric. This architectural gem weaves its essence into the very fabric of the city, offering a harmonious blend of heritage and modernity.
Now, shifting the spotlight to Maria's legacy at GAJ – she took the reins as the Lead Architect for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project, overseeing the journey from Design to on-site Delivery. With her guidance, a dedicated team of twelve navigated the complexities of BIM design and on-site execution. Marsa Al Seef, a visionary endeavour that harmoniously amalgamated new construction methods to realize Sheikh Mohammed's vision, proved a demanding challenge. Maria's expertise earned high praise from Meraas and Atkins, underscoring her role in Phase 1's construction.
